Sommer on the Roof
Czesław Mozil – master of ceremony – was born in Zabrze, Poland; has been living and working in Denmark for 20 years.
He is an accordionist but also an author of music for theater plays, bar manager and construction company worker.
And that’s how it is on stage – charismatic and crazy, he sings to the microphone placed on the level of his belly button, barely being interested in what is going on with the public, full of electric energy. Czesław’s music is hard to define; he says it’s a mix of tango, pop cabaret, punk and intelligent rock.
His band, Tesco Value, performed in best clubs in Denmark and on Roskilde Festival. On Krakow’s gig we will hear songs from the band’s repertoir published in Denmark and also Polish pieces with Michal Zablocki’s lyrics. Czesław’s solo album, Debut, was released in April 2008.
